The Evergreen Shelter Program provides temporary safe emergency shelter, clothing, food, education and counseling to youth ages 9-17 who are runaways, homeless, or experiencing personal or family crisis. Youth may also be referred by Social Services, Probation and Law Enforcement Agencies. The shelter also offers free family counseling to parents and other caregivers to help enable youth to return home safely.
The shelter is equipped to house up to 10 youth and is open 24 hours, 365 days per year. Shelter stays are limited to 14 days.
The shelter serves runaway and homeless youth who need a safe place to stay. The shelter also serves youth who may be experiencing crises such as truancy or other difficulties at school, delinquency, family conflict and miscommunication, parental neglect, or mental health issues, abuse in the home, or chemical dependency.
