Living in Apartments (off-site housing)
call
751-8223 and ask for a Housing Case Manager
Teens
and young adults ages 16-21 who need housing may be eligible for help with off-site
housing. This program is available to homeless youth and other youth who are
aging out of a juvenile placement (such as foster care) and have nowhere else
to go. Youth who are living in very overcrowded or inadequate housing may be
eligible for this program. Pregnant and parenting teens may also be eligible
for housing assistance and case management services. Evergreen's Housing Case
Managers can help you find an apartment, check it out, and help you pay for
application fees, damage deposits, and partial rent costs for up to 3 months.
Teens must be able to pay partial rent costs for the first few months, and then
full rent costs for the 4th month and beyond.

Teens
in this program can also receive help with independent living skills,
including education and employment. A Housing Case Manager will meet with
you to do an "intake" and develop a plan to meet your personal
goals. Teens are required to meet with the Housing Case Manager once a
week during the time they are receiving help.
