Evergreen Shelter Needs Your Help

The Evergreen Shelter recently lost its major $100,000 Federal Grant.  Our goal is to keep the doors open to community youth and families.  Read the Bemidji Pioneer article here.

You can help!

Visit our Open House at the Shelter on Wed., Nov. 9, 2011,  from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Share your story.  Tell us what Shelter services meant to you or your child or friend.  The Shelter is located at Mississippi & 7th, one block west of Irvine and 2 blocks north of the downtown post office.

If you’ve ever received services from Evergreen or have a friend, family member, or neighbor who has, please make a contribution to support our work.  All gifts are welcome.  No gift is too small…or too large!

Encourage your employer to make a tax deductible contribution to support Evergreen.  We will provide a tax receipt.

Gifts may be mailed to:  Evergreen Youth & Family Services, PO Box 662, Bemidji, MN  56619.  Or, drop your contribution off during Evergreen’s Nov. 9 Open House at the Shelter.

Order Evergreen Holiday Cards to send your family and friends.  Click here to view the card featuring a manger scene with the caption “Homelessness is Getting Old,” drawn by a 9 year-old homeless young artist who stayed at the Evergreen Shelter.  The cost is $12.50 for a package of 25 cards/envelopes.  You may pick them up or enclose $2.00 shipping/handling if you’d like them mailed to you.  Place orders by emailing to kfreed@evergreenhouse.org.  Please include your full name, address, and a daytime phone number.  Indicate how many packages you’d like to order.
